Harper Corporation Becomes Newest SGP Silver Patron

Published: 11.15.2011

Charlotte, North Carolina, November 15, 2011— Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation is proud to announce its role as a Silver Patron of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). A non-profit organization that promotes sustainability and provides industry professionals with important resources, SGP is a leading provider of sustainability certification.

In an effort to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability and show the company's dedication to the idea, Harper Corporation has signed on as a Silver Patron. Additionally, the company has adopted initiatives to reflect the importance it places on going green, such as recycling programs and a four-day work week, which has created a 20 percent decrease in the miles that employees log for weekly commutes. Furthermore, production procedures have been updated to decrease pollution, reduce energy use, and limit the amount of raw materials needed to produce products.

"We are pleased to announce our support of the SGP," commented Lee Kluttz, Vice President of Operations at Harper Corporation. "Our commitment to moving towards sustainability is important to us, and this is a way in which we can help guide the industry toward a more environmentally friendly future."

Harper Corporation of America has done a great deal to promote sustainability thus far, but it is certainly continuing to develop more environmentally friendly processes. Currently, it sells a selection of biodegradable products and is in the midst of developing environmentally friendly cleaning materials.
